研討會將以workshop的形式為主，在選定的主題下，邀請各領域的學者，對該領域或子題的發展做一詳盡的介紹，並請學者們參與討論。而各主題的選定除參酌目前國際上的發展外，也將顧及目前我們能掌握的，而有所增減，提出可能的發展方向與合作問題。除理論探討外，我們亦將邀請數位運用此類方法於其他應用學門的專家學者，來介紹目前此一領域於應用學門上的具體實例。本次我們將以影像相關的主題為主，並擴及其他相關之統計與計算問題。
