Statistica Sinica was established in 1991 and is co-sponsored by the Institute of Statistical Science, Academia Sinica (ISSAS), Taiwan & the International Chinese Statistical Association. It is fully funded by ISSAS. It publishes significant and original articles in statistics and data science quarterly in January, April, July and October.

Statistica Sinica has been indexed and abstracted in Scopus, Science Citation Index Expanded, and Current Index to Statistics (CIS). The journal is also included in JSTOR and EBSCO databases.
