A. Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (T.T.I. Airport) Academia Sinica: 

a . By taxi:

Taxis queue outside the Arrival Halls of both Terminal Ι and Terminal II of T.T.I. Airport.  Airport taxis charge according to the meter plus a 50% surcharge (highway tolls not included). Typical fare from T.T.I. Airport to Taipei downtown is around NT$1,100. From the T.T.I. Airport,  you may take a taxi directly to Academia Sinica for around NT$ 1,500~1,700.

b .  By bus:

1 . Adult single fares vary from NT$ 110 to $140.

2 . The journey time is about 1 hour in moderate traffic.

3 . Where to buy tickets/board the bus:      Ticket counters are located in the Arrival Passenger Reception Areas      of  both Terminals.      Terminal I Bus Platform: On the southwest side of the Arrival      Passenger Reception Area.      Terminal II Bus Platform: On the northeast side of the Arrival      Passenger Reception Area on the first floor of the terminal.

4 . Four bus companies now provide frequent services between T.T.I. Airport  and downtown           Taipei:   Taiwan Bus Corp. (Kuokuang Line): to Taipei Railway Station and Taipei Sonshan Airport. You may get off at either stop and then take a taxi to Academia Sinica for approximately NT$300. Evergreen: to ZhongXiao-FuXing MRT Station. If you only have light packages, this is a good way to save money. You can get off  at ZhongXiao-FuXing MRT Station, take MRT “Blue Line” and  get off at the terminal stop “Nangang”. Walk out the station and take a taxi to Academia Sinica for about NT$100. Toward You Air Bus: to ZhongXiao-FuXing MRT Station, Hyatt Hotel & Far Eastern Hotel. Get off at one of the above stops and take a taxi to Academia Sinica for around NT$220. Free Go Bus: to Taipei SonShan Airport. Take a taxi from Sung Shan Airport to Academia Sinica for around NT$300.  Transfer bus to Academia Sinica: No. 205, 212 and 276.

B . Taipei Main Station Academia Sinica

     a . By taxi:

It costs about NT$300. The rate of taxi fare is NT$70 for the first 1.5 kilometers and NT$5 for each additional 300 meters. A 20% surcharge is added between 11 P.M. and 6 A.M.

     b .By bus:

Bus fee is NT$15 within the same district and NT$30 for crossing district. For example, It costs NT$30 from Taipei Main Station to Academia Sinica. Buses available are No. 205, 212 and 276.

        c . By MRT (Mass Rapid Transit): 

It costs NT$30 for Taipei Main Station <--> Nangang Station. You can take buses No. 212, 270 or Blue 25 to Academia Sinica. The bus fare of Nangang Station <--> Academia Sinica is NT$15.
