Photo The National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is located in downtown Taipei across from the National Central Library. The 70-meter-high hall is built in a traditional Chinese style. The blue and white colors of the facade represent the sky and sun, symbolizing freedom and equality. 
The main archway leading to the hall is 30 meters high and 80 meters wide, and looms majestically over Chungshan South Road. The hall is surrounded by 122 hectares of beautifully landscaped gardens and ponds.   ......

and international artists. Concert programs include performances by 
celebrated artistic and musical groups and performers. They contribute considerably to the quality of music in Taiwan, international cultural exchange, and local interest in music. Tickets are available at the door, and can also be purchased at designated ticket outlets including Kingstone Book Store, Caves Books Store, New Schoolmate Book Store, and Eastern Publishing Co.

Traffic (start from Academia Sinica)
  1. By bus: Take bus No. 270 to The Directorate General Telecommunications Ministry of Transportation and Communications (bus fare is NT$30). Then you take left to walk about 10-15 minutes to reach the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall.
  2. By MRT (Metropolitan Rapid Transit, subway): Take bus No. 212, 270 or Blue 25 to Nangang Station (bus fare is NT$15) and transfer MRT to Taipei Main Station, then transfer Hsintien Line (or Nanshih Chiao Line) to Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall station (MRT fare is NT$35).
